FAQ

What happens when I want to retire and sell my practice?

Over the years you will build equity in your practice depending on it's revenue growth and profitability. If you reach a point where you would like to retire, ACI will assist you in selling your practice. You may independently search for an interested buyer and/or we may indentify candidates for you to consider. We will not charge the brokerage fee that is typically associated with practice sales.

If I want to speak to one of the affiliated practice owners, can I do so?

Absolutely. We have received permission for interested parties to call a group of the affiliated practice owners during specified times. Just call us so we can provide their contact information.

Who owns and runs the practice?

You do. Affordable Care, Inc. does not get involved in treatment decisions or interfere in the doctor/patient relationship.

Okay, what does Affordable Care, Inc. do for a practice?

Affordable Care, Inc. provides all the business management services you need to establish and run your practice. These include site selection, lease negotiation, facility up-fit, recruitment, purchasing, a fully staffed and equipped on-site dental laboratory, centralized purchasing, marketing and advertising, including the use of our 1-800-DENTURE call center, information technology support and all necessary financial services.

Do I need money to invest or will I have to personally borrow money?

No. You have no personal financial commitment. Our business model does not require you to invest money and removes the stress of signing on the bottom line for a huge loan. Affordable Care, Inc. provides the resources for the facility, equipment and supplies to start the practice and provides funding to the professional corporation during the "start-up". You provide quality clinical care and we help with everything else.

Do I work for Affordable Care?

No. Affordable Care, Inc. provides business and administrative services to the affiliated practices under contractual arrangements. The practices are organized as professional corporations or professional associations that are 100% owned by the practicing dentist. You may start your own practice or be employed by one of the current affiliated practices.

What is the income potential for affiliated practice owners?

An affiliated practice owner's income is determined by the success of his or her practice. Affordable Care, Inc. provides funding to affiliated professional corporations so that the dentist may take a guaranteed salary during the "start-up" of the practice. The salary income for successful affiliated practice owners typically exceeds $225,000 in three to five years.
