On Site Dental Lab
The ADDL Laboratory Services Agreement allows ADDL to provide a Practice Owner’s P.C. with a fully staffed and equipped on-site dental laboratory. The laboratory operates within the facility at the P.C.’s practice location. It’s like a vendor that serves only one client – the affiliated practice. The laboratory technicians are not employed by the P.C., but they are contracted for ADDL services. ADDL employees will perform all laboratory work furnished by the PC, except for cast metal partials which are sent to an off-site laboratory of the Practice Owners choosing.
ADDL will manage the laboratory operation for the Practice Owner, including the hiring, training, technical assistance, and trouble-shooting. This structure allows the dentist to focus on patient care and to concentrate on the quality and service provided by ADDL without becoming bogged down by the administrative and organizational hassles of a busy on-site laboratory.
The cost to the P.C. is the actual cost for ADDL to provide these services and is a monthly laboratory charge that includes the salaries of the technicians and the laboratory supply and equipment costs. ADDL will perform the dental laboratory procedures that include Economy, Custom and Premium Dentures and acrylic partial dentures. Additionally included are cast partial dentures (process acrylic/teeth only), rebases, relines, gold crowns on dentures, repairs and remakes and in some cases retrofitting a denture for the placement of mini dental implants.
The ADDL training program has been especially successful in providing career growth opportunities within the lab company. Many Regional Lab Managers and Practice Lab Managers began their careers in mid and entry level technician positions.
